About the Role
As a Junior Staff Accountant, you will serve as an intermediate-level partner to the Accounting team, bridging the gap between complex financial data and actionable insights. This role exists to ensure the integrity of our financial statements and reporting while driving process improvements that mitigate systemic issues. You will not only maintain sub-ledgers and reconcile accounts but also independently formulate budget expectations and influence capital project planning.
In this position, you will act as a resource for the broader organization, translating accounting concepts for non-accountants and providing expert advice to management. You will have the opportunity to lead meetings to resolve issues, develop automated applications to increase productivity, and guide training for other Accounting Specialists. Your work will directly support the delivery of excellent service to our members and colleagues, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering laws.

Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- verifiedTwo years experience in accounting, financial institution, or equivalent preferred
- verifiedWorking knowledge of GAAP
- verifiedIntermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, PDF Editing, and virtual meeting tools
Nice to Have
Two years experience in accounting or financial institution. Intermediate knowledge in Prologue Financials, Frontier Reconciliation, Nautilus, DataSafe, DayForce (HRIS), Concur (Invoice/Expense), Fedline, Monarch, and Axiom (Financial Planning Model).
