About the Role
As a Junior Accountant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the financial integrity of our driver operations. This position is designed for someone who thrives on accuracy and enjoys solving complex financial puzzles. Your day-to-day work involves processing escrow funds for drivers leaving the company, managing accounts payable, and ensuring the general ledger is meticulously reconciled.
You will be the guardian of driver financial records, checking records to determine if funds are owed upon termination and calculating any interest due. Beyond daily transactional duties like posting ACH payments, wires, and checks, you will assist management with critical monthly and yearly projects, including audit and tax requests. Key Responsibilities
- check_circleReconcile general ledger accounts and create monthly reconciliations
- check_circleRecord journal entries including accruals for month end closing process
- check_circlePost ACH payments, wires, checks, and vouchers in AP systems daily
- check_circleReconcile and code credit card statements
- check_circleAssist management with monthly or yearly audit and tax requests
- check_circleReview general ledger to identify and disburse escrow funds
- check_circleCalculate interest owed to drivers on their escrow money
- check_circleReconcile money codes, cash advances, and loans for drivers and agents
Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- verifiedProficient with Microsoft Outlook, word, and Excel
- verifiedExperience with ERP systems
- verifiedEpicor or McLeod experience
Nice to Have
Internship in Accounting or Accounting work experience. Experience with ERP systems. Epicor or McLeod experience.
