About the Role
The Junior Staff Accountant serves as a vital link within our finance function, reporting directly to the Senior Accountant. This position is designed for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to support management across all company channels.
You will be the guardian of our financial precision, responsible for maintaining, preparing, and reconciling accounts and critical financial documents. Success in this role requires a broad understanding of basic accounting principles, the ability to multitask with minimal oversight, and a genuine passion for efficiency. You will work closely with the Accounting Staff to ensure the integrity of our daily operations, from processing retail sales and cash receipts to managing complex tax filings and supporting year-end audits.

- check_circleReconcile cash general ledger accounts and bank statements
- check_circlePrepare and reconcile state and local tobacco tax filings
- check_circlePrepare and reconcile state sales and use tax filings
- check_circleReconcile balance sheet accounts by compiling financial information
- check_circleAssist with reviewing expense reports and disburse payments
- check_circleAssist with coordination and preparation of materials for financial audits
- check_circlePerform monthly closing duties and account analysis
- check_circleAssist with mid-year and year-end physical inventories
Requirements
- verifiedBS or BA in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- verified0-2 years of accounting experience
- verifiedProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- verifiedExperience with ERP accounting systems- Dynamics AX and/or Dynamics D365, a plus
