The Partnership for Public Service is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to building a better government and a stronger democracy. Central to this mission is our work to connect the government with those it serves by protecting it from harm and reimagining the way it works on behalf of the public.
Building on our 20 years of experience, we educate the public about the value of government, prepare civil servants to navigate a complex federal environment, and collaborate with stakeholders to advance bold reforms. We equip and advise government leaders at all levels to develop critical skills for effective public service.
Our staff is diverse in experience and perspective, driven by a mission to create more effective, responsive, and accountable federal institutions. We are a team that is creative, collaborative, optimistic, and inclusive. Our work is strategic and fast-paced, guided by our values: a passion for public service, a culture of learning and respect, persistence to drive change, and a promise to be trustworthy and fiscally responsible.
We hire smart and friendly people who are great at what they do and good to one another in the process.
The Partnership for Public Service is seeking a Junior Data Scientist (Associate Manager) to join a growing data team supporting our mission. As we expand our data product offerings, this role will be a critical contributor to building our internal capacity.
You will support all stages of the data science lifecycle, from data cleaning and exploratory analysis to visualization and model development. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working across multiple workstreams. You will collaborate with teams across the organization to address data science and engineering needs, ensuring that data-driven insights connect the organization's strategic priorities to our analytical work.
We consider collaboration, results, and the demonstration of our values when assessing performance. The interview process typically involves reviewing your background and experience, followed by discussions focused on your technical capabilities and cultural fit within our mission-driven team.
