We are seeking a Journeyman Electrician in the Cheyenne, WY area for a project position. This role is ideal for candidates who have a passion for safety, an initiative-taking mindset, and experience in a heavy commercial and industrial environment.
As a Journeyman Electrician, you will work independently or as part of a team responsible for the installation, start-up, troubleshooting, commissioning, and servicing of industrial equipment and systems. You will serve existing accounts by analyzing work orders, planning daily travel schedules, investigating complaints, and resolving problems. Your day will involve establishing service by studying system requirements, ordering components, and performing acceptance tests. You will also maintain rapport with customers by identifying solutions and suggesting improved methods, while keeping personal equipment operating through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
In this role, you will be expected to work with and train apprentices, document all service and installation actions, and stay updated on job knowledge through educational opportunities. You must be capable of reading and understanding overview drawings, one-line drawings, and electrical schematics, as well as laying out conduit, cable tray, and overall jobsite installations.
This role requires strict compliance with all applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and Loenbro's Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies. You will work in varying temperatures and environments, including exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions. The work may involve confined spaces such as switchgear rooms, manholes, utility tunnels, crawl spaces, attics, and vaults.
You will be required to wear personal protective equipment at all times, including hard hats, safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, masks, and earplugs, and respirators when applicable. The position involves working from various heights up to 50' using ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, and catwalks. You must be able to carry and relocate extension ladders and stepladders independently and adhere to strict weight limits for ladder usage.
