The Data Architecture, Technology, and Analytics (DATA) section within the Federal Reserve Board's Division of Research & Statistics (R&S) is dedicated to transforming how the organization ingests, organizes, uses, and visualizes data. Our mission is to modernize legacy data environments and fragmented pipelines into integrated cloud platforms and enterprise systems. By doing so, we enhance economic forecasting, support policymaking, and ensure the Division maintains leadership in economic analysis while meeting Congressional mandates efficiently.
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Data Architect to expand and optimize our data and pipeline architecture. This role is critical for bridging the gap between complex data systems and the economists and technical experts who rely on them. You will be responsible for designing and developing optimal data delivery architectures, optimizing data flow, and potentially redesigning the R&S division's data architecture to support next-generation initiatives.
In this position, you will work directly with research and business teams to improve data models and processes that support analytics and visualization tools. The ideal candidate possesses a service mindset, is self-directed, and thrives in an environment where they can improve existing systems or build new ones from the ground up. You will translate division requirements into long-term information architecture solutions, ensuring data is accurate, reliable, and accessible for data-driven decision-making across the organization.
This is a multi-year contract role based in Washington, DC, with onsite presence required as per government contact. Candidates must be eligible for a Public Trust clearance. We accept applications from both W2 and C2C candidates.
Application Deadline: June 1st at 3 PM.
