ATA Services is seeking an experienced IT Systems and Security Support Specialist for a part-time, temporary assignment in Southeast Albuquerque. This role is designed to provide immediate operational support to the Public School Facilities Authority's IT Department, bridging a critical capacity gap while long-term staffing needs are assessed.
The position focuses on stabilizing daily operations, modernizing infrastructure, and ensuring security compliance. You will serve as a vital resource to IT management, helping to maintain continuity of services and execute documentation and modernization projects over an expected one-year timeline.
In this capacity, you will act as a force multiplier for the IT team, handling complex security workloads and infrastructure tasks that currently strain management resources. Your work will directly contribute to reducing operational risk and improving audit readiness.
Day-to-day, you will support Microsoft 365 environments, manage identity lifecycles, and assist with cloud migration and data restructuring projects. You will also serve as secondary coverage for critical systems, ensuring resilience during staff absences or high-impact incidents. A key component of this role is knowledge transfer; you will document processes and prepare an operational transition plan to ensure a smooth handover to permanent staff upon contract conclusion.
