About the Role
Neuralink is looking for a motivated IT Systems Administrator Intern to serve as a primary point of contact for end-user technical support across our Fremont campus. In this role, you will focus on Helpdesk T1 and T2 support, handling day-to-day tickets, device troubleshooting, and user onboarding and offboarding — while also having the opportunity to collaborate with and learn from full-time IT Systems Administrators on broader infrastructure and systems projects.

Compensation
The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $25/Hr USD.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleServe as first point of contact for T1 and T2 Helpdesk support across macOS, Windows, and Linux
- check_circleAssist with device imaging, configuration, and deployment using MDM platforms
- check_circleSupport user onboarding and offboarding processes including account provisioning and deprovisioning
- check_circleTroubleshoot L1 and L2 connectivity issues including Wi-Fi, VPN, and VLAN-related problems
- check_circleManage hardware asset inventory tracking, asset tagging, and lifecycle documentation
- check_circleMaintain conference room AV equipment including displays, video conferencing systems, and audio hardware
- check_circleCreate and maintain Helpdesk documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles
- check_circleCollaborate with full-time IT Systems Administrators on endpoint and identity management projects
Requirements
- verifiedCurrently pursuing or recently completed degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field
- verifiedFoundational understanding of macOS, Windows, or Linux
- verifiedBasic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
- verifiedStrong communication and interpersonal skills
Nice to Have
Prior Helpdesk, IT support, or customer-facing technical support experience (internship, part-time, or volunteer experience welcome). Familiarity with an MDM platform such as Jamf, Intune, or Kandji. Experience with Google Workspace, Slack, or Zoom administration. Basic scripting knowledge in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automating routine IT tasks. Familiarity with identity and access management concepts such as SSO, MFA, and user lifecycle management. Experience in a regulated environment or awareness of data privacy best practices (HIPAA, PII handling).
