About the Role
This position focuses on the installation, configuration, service, repair, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems within both stand-alone and client-server environments. You will work with Microsoft servers, Defense Message Systems (DMS), and other authorized IT systems, alongside the hardware and software required for network services, storage networking devices, and servers.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include integrating multiple Information Systems in a networked environment and evaluating customer IS problems to ensure mission capability. You will be responsible for performing required hardware upgrades and repairs, as well as installing and configuring wireless hubs, routers, switches, and various transmission media. Additionally, you will ensure the proper installation and configuration of workstation hardware and software for efficient network operation, while optimizing and troubleshooting Local Area Networks (LAN) and Base Area Networks (BAN).
