The Community Youth Center of San Francisco (CYC) provides the youth of our city a sense of belonging and vital tools and experiences to succeed in life. Our services include academic support and college counseling, job placement and employment training, substance use and violence prevention education, crisis intervention and mediation, leadership development, and technology and computer training. Our mission is to encourage a diverse population of high-need young people to explore their full potential through academic, career, family, and community life.
As an IT Specialist, you will be the technical backbone supporting CYC's mission. You will monitor and maintain the agency's computer systems, networks, and electronic devices, ensuring that our staff and after-school programs have the reliable technology they need to serve the community. This role is not just about fixing hardware or software faults; it is about enabling the organization's programs to run smoothly so that our youth can thrive.
You will work closely with the IT Director or Manager, assisting in day-to-day activities while offering direct technical support to staff. Your work will involve collaborating with various CYC programs to support special projects and events, ensuring that technology serves as an enabler rather than a barrier. Whether you are troubleshooting issues on-site or providing off-site support for after-school programs, your focus will be on maintaining a seamless technological environment for our diverse population of high-need young people.
CYC is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer and will not discriminate against any applicant or employee on the basis of race, age, religion, gender, marital status, national origin, citizenship, ancestry, physical or mental disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, or any other basis recognized by federal, state, or local law, including on the basis of the intersection of two or more protected characteristics, also known as intersectional discrimination. Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records for employment.
