IT Operations Intern

About the Role

The IT Operations Intern will support MedPharm's Information Technology department during a 10–12 week summer internship. Under the direction of the VP of IT, this role offers a meaningful opportunity for an aspiring IT professional to contribute directly to MedPharm's technology environment while developing practical skills in a regulated life-sciences setting.

You will gain hands-on experience in corporate IT operations, ranging from end-user support and asset management to IT documentation. A key component of this position is the design and execution of a self-directed project aligned with your professional interests. You will work alongside the IT team to identify opportunities to streamline workflows, create standard operating procedures, and assist with onboarding and offboarding activities. This role is designed for someone eager to learn who can manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while explaining technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.

Work Environment

This position is based in an office environment with occasional visits to server rooms, data closets, and employee workstations throughout the facility. The work is primarily sedentary and computer-based, though it involves occasional walking between offices and light lifting of equipment during deskside visits.
