The IT Field Technician serves as the on-site technical backbone for five high-volume dental practices across the Charlotte, NC region. This role is designed to enhance the efficiency of end-users and boost the overall productivity of our dental offices by ensuring technology systems remain connected, operational, and well-maintained.
You will act as a proactive team player, bridging the gap between technical solutions and daily operations. Your day-to-day involves communicating effectively with Practice Managers, Doctors, and the broader IT team while maintaining the reliability required to work independently in the field. Reporting directly to the IT Manager, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of on-premise infrastructure, from network design and installation to the maintenance of servers and workstations.
This position offers a dynamic environment where you will manage the physical and digital health of multiple locations. You will troubleshoot Tier 1 and 2 issues, coordinate with remote support teams and vendors, and ensure that hardware assets are tracked and maintained. A key part of your mission is prioritizing customer satisfaction; you will listen attentively to concerns, offer optimal solutions, and escalate complex problems when necessary.
To ensure continuous operational support, you will participate in a rotating on-call schedule every 4–5 weeks. These on-call weeks are compensated with an extra flat rate, allowing you to promptly address urgent after-hours technical issues. You will also be expected to stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve your technical skills and knowledge base.
Candidates selected for this role will be expected to demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to work independently. The interview process will focus on your technical troubleshooting capabilities, your experience with on-premise networks and hardware, and your fit within our team culture.
We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, race, religion, gender, or other protected characteristics.
