About the Role

This position serves as an advanced professional within a multiplatform environment, responsible for planning and executing comprehensive audits of information systems and related processes. The role acts as a strategic partner to management, focusing on the identification and assessment of technology-related risks while ensuring compliance with government guidelines and regulatory requirements, such as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.

As a subject matter expert or project leader, you will evaluate technology and business controls for integrated IT and business auditing efforts. The position involves reviewing project documentation and conducting interviews during new system development and implementation reviews to ensure development efforts align with organizational policies and standards. You will also work alongside outside auditors to reconcile discrepancies and support local and federal examinations, while potentially developing tools to support automated audit efforts.

Team Context & Impact

In this capacity, you will coach and mentor junior technical staff while tackling projects of medium to high complexity that require demonstrated knowledge across multiple technical areas and business segments. The role is critical for maintaining the integrity of IT services management frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and auditing standards (e.g., COBIT), ensuring that controls are adequately incorporated into systems and identifying opportunities for process, control, or cost improvements.
