The CIO Office is responding proactively to evolving regulatory expectations and a heightening internal audit focus. As the organization modernizes its infrastructure and strengthens control documentation, a strategic opportunity has emerged to enhance coordination across IT functions and accelerate remediation efforts.
The IT Audit Remediation Lead serves as an internal change agent and strategic bridge, connecting the audit function with operational IT teams to deliver sustainable, measurable compliance outcomes that strengthen the organization's risk posture. This critical senior hire was created to address growing regulatory complexity within the US IT landscape.
Uniquely dual-natured, this role requires deep technical expertise in IT infrastructure paired with the leadership ability to engage and align IT managers throughout the remediation journey. The ideal candidate will possess a background in IT Audit and a strong understanding of production environments and application development. Experience within the banking industry is essential to navigate controls, risk frameworks, and the dynamics between the 1st and 2nd Lines of Defense, audit teams, and IT management.
In this position, you will assess audit findings, devise solutions with IT infrastructure teams, and set clear deadlines for remediation. The focus will be on leveraging current technology to resolve issues—such as IT asset management, database configurations, and patching—rather than implementing new systems. Additionally, you will drive necessary changes to policies, procedures, and controls to prevent future remediation needs in alignment with market standards.
