As an Analyst Engineer, you will be a key player in our business strategy and execution, participating in the "full cycle" of transactional execution. You will support senior team members across both the A&D (Acquisitions, Divestitures, and Mergers) and coverage functions, playing a vital role in implementing the execution function. Working with a broader team in the region, you will collaborate with other A&D and coverage analysts and associates, as well as assist more senior bankers.
In this role, you will develop strong function skills in the major areas of M&A&D investment banking, specifically focusing on the oil and gas sector. You will be involved in real-time transactions that may include travel, performing technical analysis and resource assessments for assets across North America. Your work will directly support senior engineers in the construction and maintenance of economic modeling software while conducting market research and technical analyses on completion trends, rig activity, and depletion risk.
Candidates selected for this role will be invited to participate in a series of interviews designed to assess technical capabilities, cultural fit, and strategic thinking. The process typically includes an initial screening, followed by technical deep-dives and team fit discussions. Finalists will engage in detailed case studies or presentations relevant to asset evaluation and economic modeling before receiving an offer.
