The CNY Central News Team is seeking to rebuild its award-winning I-Team Investigative Reporting Division following more than three years of significant success and acclaim. As the only investigative news team in Central New York (Syracuse DMA), our "Point of Difference" coverage is dedicated to enriching local lives through the power of journalism.
Our veteran news team is fully prepared to coach, collaborate, and grow the best candidates into accomplished investigative reporters and standout members of the I-Team. We are looking for aggressive, enterprising reporters prepared to dig deeper into complex situations with relentless intensity.
This role is designed for candidates who can question government leaders, follow the money to hold those spending tax dollars accountable, and embrace being the "voice of the voiceless" in our community. An ideal candidate demonstrates a natural curiosity about the community, proficiency in writing for both broadcast and digital platforms, and storytelling techniques that make investigative and impactful reporting memorable.
While applying, please provide an online portfolio or reel link for review.
