At Star, we specialize in the custom design and manufacturing of physical experiences. Our clients' needs range from exhibits, retail and corporate environments, and branded events. Wherever a brand lives, Star is there to make it shine.
The Inventory Control Specialist is the guardian of show-ready inventory within our warehouse. This role exists to ensure that every exhibit asset, component, crate, and hardware item is accurately received, tracked, stored, and ready for deployment. By working closely with Warehouse Administration, Outbound, and Inbound Managers, you will play a critical part in order readiness, asset utilization, and workload planning.
In this position, you will maintain accurate inventory records, perform cycle counts and audits to resolve discrepancies, and investigate variances or damages. You will coordinate with inbound teams to ensure returned exhibits are properly inspected and checked back into inventory, while validating availability prior to outbound order release to confirm assets are shippable. Your work ensures that warehouse teams can confidently fulfill orders, meet deadlines, and maximize asset utilization by supporting smooth operations across inbound, outbound, and planning functions.
Accurate, accessible, and show-ready inventory is critical to successful exhibit execution. As the Inventory Control Specialist, you will provide the visibility needed to support scheduling and labor planning decisions. You will identify slow-moving or constrained inventory to improve utilization and flow, ensuring that kits, configurations, and special components are complete and ready for fulfillment. Your ability to resolve last-minute inventory conflicts and flag risks directly impacts project timelines and order fulfillment.
