About the Role
The Interventional Radiologic Technologist plays a vital role in assisting physicians with image-guided, minimally invasive procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Working alongside Interventional Radiologists and RNs, you will help perform diagnostic angiographic procedures as well as complex vascular and nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures.
Your day-to-day involves treating a wide range of conditions by inserting small instruments, such as catheters or wires, using x-ray and imaging techniques like CT scanners, MRI scanners, and ultrasound. You will be responsible for maintaining sterile technique, operating equipment, ensuring quality assurance of imaging, and providing compassionate patient care. From positioning patients and resolving equipment issues to preparing and documenting contrast administration, your expertise ensures the highest quality of care.
