About the Role
This Finance Internship offers a unique opportunity to support profit centers within Turner's Atlanta division. As a temporary intern, you will bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world operational finance. The role is designed to immerse you in the day-to-day mechanics of accounting, from managing accounts receivable and payable to assisting with the monthly close process.
You will work directly with the Accounting Manager, Accountant, or Senior Accountant in Operational Finance. Your day will involve processing vendor and subcontractor invoices, ensuring contractual compliance, and preparing data for central financial centers. Beyond the numbers, you will gain exposure to the broader Turner Finance business strategy, culture, and core values while applying your knowledge in a dynamic, on-site construction environment.
Work Environment
This position is based in Atlanta, GA, and requires regular on-site work at active construction sites. The environment is dynamic and may involve exposure to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, outdoor weather conditions, and moderate to very loud noise levels. The role requires physical mobility, including the ability to climb stairs, ladders, and negotiate work areas, as well as the use of hands for handling tools and controls.
