Interconnection Project Manager

About the Role

As an Interconnection Project Manager, you will serve as the central hub for the interconnection process within Ecoplexus' renewable development pipeline. Seated in Durham, North Carolina, or working remotely from Mexico City, your primary mission is to ensure the timely completion of complex interconnection tasks and submissions required by Regional Transmission Organizations (RTOs) and Transmission Utilities.

This mid-level position is designed for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated professional who thrives in a multitasking environment. While extensive prior experience is not mandatory, we seek candidates with the potential to grow into the role, including entry-level individuals who demonstrate strong aptitude. You will report directly to the Director of Transmission & Interconnection and act as a key liaison between development, design, construction, and finance teams.

In this role, you will function as both a project manager and a subject matter expert. You will navigate the intricacies of RTO and utility tariffs, providing strategic input on optimal siting and issue resolution. Your day-to-day involves coordinating deliverables from internal and external resources, facilitating contract negotiations, and performing due diligence on transmission queues and plans. Whether you are reviewing feasibility studies, assisting with transmission modeling, or representing Ecoplexus in interactions with utilities and prospective customers, your work ensures our projects move forward efficiently.
