The Integrated Health Therapist (IHT) serves as a vital resource for patients and the care team, addressing mental and behavioral health, chemical health, and the psychosocial aspects of disease. This role is designed to support optimal patient functioning across all age populations, including those with co-morbid medical conditions. You will act as the primary team consultant, promoting a bio-psychosocial understanding of health and bridging the gap between medical and psychological factors.
In this position, you will conduct behavioral health services within a primary care setting, providing diagnostic assessments, onsite crisis intervention, and empirically validated short-term care. Your day-to-day involves determining the need for ongoing care based on clinical ability and complexity, making appropriate referrals, and ensuring patients receive continued management. You will also take active leadership in universal health screening for behavioral and chemical health conditions, deliver education to staff regarding behavioral emergencies, and participate in quality improvement activities to evaluate the effectiveness of care delivery.
Credentialing through the Allied Health Staff of the organization is required for this position. Candidates must hold a valid license in good standing in the state of practice, or be in the process of obtaining licensure by reciprocity within 90 days of hire if applicable.
