About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced underwriting leader with specific expertise in allied healthcare professional liability lines to advance into an AVP role within a major insurance company. This is an exciting opportunity to be the first person hired in a new Allied Healthcare division, tasked with building the department from the ground up.
This high-profile role sits within an industry-leading organization, offering a chance to shape the future of a specialized coverage area. The position is based in Utica, NY, with remote work from home potentially available.
About the Role
As the inaugural leader of the Allied Healthcare division, you will drive the strategy and execution for underwriting a diverse range of medical and healthcare entities. Your expertise will be critical in evaluating risk and structuring coverage for classes including:
- Ambulatory Surgery Centers (outpatient, same-day surgery, surgicenters)
- Medical and clinical labs, dental clinics, and drug testing facilities
- Pharmacies and imaging centers
- Rehabilitation centers, adult day care, medical spas, and weight loss clinics
- Specialized providers such as chiropractors, dialysis centers, sleep clinics, and therapy professionals
- Broader healthcare facilities including hospitals, nursing homes, hospices, blood banks, and ambulance services
