About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Underwriter to serve as the primary liaison for distribution partners while overseeing the underwriting of all Medical Professional Liability new business. This role focuses on physicians, surgeons, and a broad spectrum of healthcare entities, including clinics, surgery centers, ambulatory facilities, and specialized care centers.

In this position, you will direct underwriting activities for a company-wide portfolio within your granted authority. Beyond technical underwriting, you will set strategic goals and action plans to drive program production and profitability. The role also involves supporting program promotion to distribution partners and mentoring underwriting staff by sharing industry knowledge and best practices. Additionally, you will manage personnel decisions, including hiring, performance reviews, and compensation approvals.
