About the Opportunity
We are an industry leader seeking an experienced Underwriter to join our Specialty Program team. This role focuses on the unique and evolving landscape of Body Maintenance Businesses, including Massage, Tattoo, Piercing, Nails, Hair, and Gyms. As a key member of our Commercial Lines and Excess & Surplus programs, you will evaluate risk, select submissions, and price policies with precision.
The Role
In this position, you will underwrite individual risk selections for a diverse portfolio of specialty businesses. Beyond technical underwriting, you will serve as a vital resource to subordinate underwriting levels, other departments, and our network of agents. You will be responsible for communicating our underwriting appetite and strategies clearly to partners, while simultaneously developing new agency relationships and maintaining our core group of agents.
You will also assist management with the development and enhancement of insurance forms, ensuring our products remain competitive and robust. This role offers the flexibility of remote work from home, allowing you to contribute to our mission while maintaining a flexible schedule.
