About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Insurance Underwriter to join our Specialty Program team, focusing on Hard to Place Risks within the Excess Surplus Commercial Lines sector. This role is designed for professionals who thrive in complex environments and possess practical expertise in underwriting unique and challenging accounts.
You will be responsible for sourcing new business and developing tailored quotes for clients in specialized sectors such as adult and child care facilities, community centers, group homes, home health care, hospices, religious and non-profit organizations, and service-based industries like pest control and security. Beyond underwriting, you will play a key role in retaining existing accounts, achieving revenue goals, and leading cross-selling efforts to expand our product portfolio. This position offers a unique opportunity to represent the company at key industry events and work directly with upper executive management to shape team growth and strategy.
While the primary location is Scottsdale, AZ, remote work from home is possible for the right candidate.
