About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Attorney to provide specialized legal representation for toxic tort, environmental, pollution, and asbestos claims. This role is critical for protecting the interests of both insureds and the company in complex litigation environments. You will serve as the primary legal advocate before courts and arbitration panels, navigating high-stakes cases that require deep expertise in health hazards and environmental liability.

In this position, you will assess the value of claims and analyze exposure risks while managing the full lifecycle of litigation. Your day-to-day involves obtaining and scrutinizing written discovery, depositions, and medical records to build robust legal strategies. You will be responsible for drafting pleadings, motions, trial briefs, and all necessary court documents, as well as attending hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials in assigned venues. Additionally, you will prepare timely structured reports on litigation developments to keep claims partners and insureds informed, ensuring seamless collaboration with legal support staff.

Work Environment

This position offers the flexibility of remote work from home, allowing you to manage your caseload effectively while maintaining a strong connection with the team. The role is based in Farmington Hills, Michigan, with the potential for travel to assigned venues for court appearances and meetings.
