OBUSA serves as the national organization for Outward Bound in the United States. Through scholarship fundraising and national initiatives, we work to remove barriers to participation and strengthen the Outward Bound system's overall impact.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleManage a portfolio of foundation and corporate prospects to balance stewardship with pipeline growth
- check_circleLead cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities to secure multi-year funding commitments
- check_circleIdentify and qualify new institutional funders through research, referrals, and proactive outreach
- check_circleResearch and prepare high-quality proposals, letters of inquiry, and funder reports
- check_circleCollaborate with program and finance staff to develop accurate budgets and measurable outcomes
- check_circleClose gifts and secure commitments that advance Outward Bound USA's national priorities
- check_circleTranslate program data and outcomes into persuasive narratives that demonstrate organizational impact
- check_circleMaintain accurate grants calendars and relationship records in Salesforce to ensure timely deliverables
Requirements
- verifiedPermanent work authorization in the United States
- verified5+ years of experience in grant writing, institutional fundraising, or nonprofit development
- verifiedIntermediate skill in Salesforce or similar CRM
- verifiedExperience developing proposal budgets
Nice to Have
Familiarity with outdoor education, youth development, or experiential learning fields.
