This opportunity entails being responsible for conducting on-site construction inspections for projects supporting our clients. You will provide inspection services to ensure compliance with plans and specifications, prepare required contract documentation, and follow prescribed Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures. Your day-to-day involves observing, documenting, and verifying work in progress by the construction contractor to ensure adherence to contract documents. You will utilize engineering inspection practices to perform calculations and measurements of completed work, maintain daily reports of assigned activities and materials, and assist in on-site material testing and producing as-constructed sketches.

3 years of construction-related experience, Driver's License, proficient use of Microsoft Word and Excel, experience working on VDOT projects (prior experience in the Hampton Roads District preferred), and working knowledge of VDOT Road and Bridge Specifications, Road and Bridge Standards, Construction Manual, and Inspector Manual.
