This opportunity entails being responsible for conducting on-site construction inspections for projects supporting our clients. You will serve as the eyes and ears on the ground, ensuring that construction activities align with contract documents, plans, and specifications. Your role is critical in maintaining quality assurance and control standards, verifying work in progress, and documenting material compliance. You will prepare required contract documentation, produce as-constructed sketches, and maintain daily reports detailing work activities, contractor labor, equipment, and verified quantities. Effective communication regarding issues, objectives, and initiatives is essential to ensure performance and compliance.

3 years of construction-related experience, Driver's License, proficient use of Microsoft Word and Excel, experience working on VDOT projects (prior experience in the Hampton Roads District preferred), and working knowledge of VDOT Road and Bridge Specifications, Road and Bridge Standards, Construction Manual, and Inspector Manual.
