About the Role
This opportunity entails being responsible for conducting on-site construction inspections for projects supporting our clients. You will serve as a critical link between project plans and physical execution, ensuring that all work adheres to strict compliance standards. Your day-to-day involves observing, documenting, and verifying work in progress by the construction contractor to ensure compliance with contract documents and plans. You will confirm that procedures are followed and materials used conform to specifications, utilizing engineering inspection practices to perform necessary calculations and measurements of completed work.
In this role, you will maintain the Inspector's daily report of assigned work activities, contractor labor and equipment, and the quantity of material received and verified. You will assist in on-site material testing and produce as-constructed sketches as required, while keeping superiors advised of any problem areas. Effective communication regarding issues, objectives, and initiatives in performance and compliance to Plans and Specifications is essential to the success of the project.
Location and Eligibility
This position is available in multiple Virginia locations, including Arlington (Alexandria), Fredericksburg, Glen Allen (Richmond), Salem, and Virginia Beach. Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
