AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We are the team that keeps the cloud running, supporting all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We tackle the most challenging problems, managing thousands of variables impacting the supply chain, and we are looking for talented people who want to help us solve them.
You will join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. As a Decommissioning Technician on the Network and Cable Decommission (NCD) team, you will work closely with project management, network engineers, and operations teams to facilitate smooth project delivery. Your mission is to help AWS deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.
In this role, you will execute multiple concurrent project activities, scope the level of effort, validate work readiness, and create change requests. You will be responsible for the physical decommissioning of network and cabling infrastructure in a data center environment, ensuring all efforts are documented and coordinated effectively. You will also play a key role in mentoring by sharing knowledge with less technical staff and supporting the onboarding of new technicians through the NCD training and certification program. Additionally, you will contribute to building a great team by participating in the Amazon hiring process and candidate interviews.
