About the Role

Marathon TS is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) II to support critical operations at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB) in Dayton, Ohio. This position serves as a vital link within Special Access Programs (SAPs), providing essential day-to-day security support for Department of Defense agencies, including the HQ Air Force, the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), and various Military Compartments.

In this role, you will manage the security lifecycle for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and SAP activities. You will act as the primary representative for customers on technical review and inspection teams, ensuring that all system test plans, security surveys, and authorization packages meet rigorous federal standards. The role demands a high degree of initiative and creativity, requiring you to identify vulnerabilities, implement countermeasures, and coordinate complex security documentation across government facilities and network nodes.

Application & Hiring Process

Candidates must possess a current Top Secret clearance with SCI Eligibility and be eligible for access to Special Access Programs. The selected candidate will be required to submit to a Counterintelligence Polygraph. Additionally, successful applicants must meet the certification requirements outlined in DoD Directive 8570.01-M for Information Assurance Technician Level 2 within six months of their start date.
