As an Information Security Analyst II, you will be the backbone of our defense against intrusions, malware, threat actors, and assorted cyber threats. This role exists to bridge the gap between initial detection and resolution, ensuring our organization remains secure in a dynamic threat landscape.
In this position, you will conduct deep-dive investigations and analysis to support cyber incidents reported by our Level 1 teams. Your day will involve actively monitoring and investigating security alerts to detect malicious activities, performing threat hunting, and correlating activity across assets to identify anomalous behavior patterns. You will play an active role in incident response, providing expertise in containment, eradication, and recovery efforts while ensuring these activities are executed in a timely manner.
Beyond immediate incident handling, you will prepare briefings and reports detailing your analysis methodology and results. You will also conduct ongoing research into emerging threats and vulnerabilities, evaluating intelligence data with a focus on tactics, techniques, and procedures to enhance our incident identification capabilities. By collaborating with the security operations team, you will help refine our detection and response strategies, staying ahead of the latest attacks to recommend new security solutions.
