You will be joining the Wright Paterson Medical Center, a key component of the 88th Medical Group. As one of the largest Air Force Military Treatment Facilities, we provide primary and specialty care to over 58,000 eligible beneficiaries. We operate as a major military and civilian integrated platform, hosting numerous formal programs for advanced specialty training in physicians, nurses, and technicians.
Our network spans seven buildings across the Wright-Patterson Base Metropolitan Area, supporting over 2,500 users. In this role, you will collaborate closely with government employees to interface with MESD/DHA, the FDA, and 88CG to maintain critical resources.
This midlevel Information Security Analyst position is dedicated to planning and executing security features that protect the business's computer networks and systems. You will serve as the first response for IT issues, resolving operational problems associated with the systems maintained in our environment.
Your day-to-day involves tracking work tickets to document actions, contacting necessary personnel, and logging notable responses in the Enterprise Management/Tracking Systems (ETMS). You will enforce compliance with Department of Defense (DOD) and Defense Health Agency (DHA) cybersecurity policies, including specific guidance from DoD Directive 8500.1 and AFMAN 17-1301. The role requires managing COMPUSEC functions, conducting information assurance inspections, and providing user education when deficiencies are identified.
You will also coordinate network access security, review System Authorization Access Requests (SAAR), and manage endpoint security applications to verify installation and configuration on all end-user devices. Additionally, you will utilize automation case tools for vulnerability and patch management, review firewall and traffic exception requests, and apply critical thinking to identify and mitigate risks.
This position is fully on-site at the Wright Paterson Medical Center. Candidates must meet specific certification requirements, including the CompTIA Security+ (Sec+) for elevated permissions on DoD IT systems (DODD 8140.01 IAT-II Baseline).
