About the Role
This Information Manager position supports the United States Marine Corps Forces, Central Command (MARCENT) and its subordinate commands under a five-year contract. Based at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida, the role serves as a critical support function for the Plans and Policy Directorate (G-5). The G-5 advises the Commander of MARCENT on joint-level and service-level planning, crisis action planning, force deployment, Information Operations, and command strategy. The Information Manager ensures the seamless flow of internal and external information requirements across both continental (CONUS) and outside continental (OCONUS) environments.
The role is dynamic and requires a high degree of adaptability. You will coordinate with the MARCENT staff to draft, update, and track command systems, recurring reports, and administrative actions. A significant portion of the day involves managing electronic calendars, updating distribution lists, and ensuring the currency of NIPR/SIPR portals and shared drives. The position also entails supporting operational readiness by collating inputs for the Defense Readiness Reporting System-Marine Corps (DRRS-MC) and assisting with Defense Travel System claims.
Travel is an integral part of this position. The Information Manager must be prepared to support government requirements throughout the Central Command Area of Responsibility (AOR). This includes the ability to deploy on less than 24 hours' notice to forward-deployed locations for personnel recovery and training. The role demands readiness to travel to various countries including Bahrain, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and others within the CENTCOM AOR.
