About the Role
The Industrial Engineer will work directly with Production leadership to implement Lean Manufacturing systems. The core purpose of this position is to eliminate waste across time, money, materials, person-hours, machine time, energy, and other resources that do not generate value. Success in this role requires the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
You will serve as a coach and teacher of lean manufacturing principles to production floor team members, driving problem-solving efforts and fostering a collaborative culture across all levels of the organization. This role involves leading continuous improvement initiatives in supplier, in-process, and finished goods packaging, as well as material movement solutions.

Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent engineering degree
- verifiedTwo years of Industrial Engineering experience
- verifiedExperience in manufacturing with Continuous Improvement background
- verifiedExperience documenting Standardized Work procedures
- verifiedExperience implementing Lean Manufacturing concepts
- verifiedKnowledge of time study and motion analysis
- verifiedAbility to work any shift, overtime, and weekend shifts
- verifiedUS work authorization (no GM immigration sponsorship provided)
Nice to Have
Knowledge of human factors engineering or ergonomic analysis. Previous experience with project management and time management. Previous experience working in a Union Environment or Bargaining Unit. Working knowledge of computer aided drafting tools such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
