In-Home Sales & Tech Support (Part Time)

About the Role

We are seeking an In-Home Sales & Tech Support representative to join our team during our busiest hours. This is an entry-level, local field role designed for individuals starting their careers who enjoy talking to people and want hands-on sales experience. As a Field Sales Representative, you will be on the front lines helping customers through our Serve, Solve, Sell™ approach.

You will begin with paid training to prepare you to work independently in the field. Throughout your journey, you will learn our products, gain sales experience, and build skills in communication, negotiation, and problem-solving. Ongoing coaching and mentoring will support your growth, ensuring you stay confident and tech-savvy.

In the field, you will consistently put the Serve, Solve, Sell™ model into action: meeting customers in their homes or offices to provide exceptional service; utilizing your expertise to resolve tech issues regardless of the customer's knowledge level; and leveraging Asurion's growing range of products to offer tailored solutions that meet specific needs.

Schedule & Requirements

This is a part-time role requiring daily travel to customer residences; it is not a remote position. Availability for afternoon and evening shifts is essential. Most positions follow a standard 5-day schedule from 4:05 PM to 9:00 PM, though end times may vary based on customer needs. In select markets, a flexible 4+ day schedule may be available, requiring 25 hours of availability across at least 4 days (including at least one weekend day), with shifts scheduled between 12:05 PM and 9:00 PM.

To succeed in this role, you must be comfortable working in a sales environment with set targets and possess a valid driver's license with at least one year of driving experience. You will need to provide proof of valid car insurance (excluded in Manhattan) and have access to a personal vehicle (motorcycles excluded). Customer service appointments are located in neighborhoods and cities surrounding your inventory warehouse, with a maximum expected travel distance of 120 miles one-way. You must also be comfortable working around household pets and have a personal cellphone to stay connected while on the job.
