About the Role
As an Identity Engineer, you will be the bridge between SPHERE's cutting-edge platform and our clients' security needs. You will play an integral role in configuring, managing, and optimizing the SPHEREboard platform, ensuring client environments are secure and functioning efficiently. This position goes beyond standard support; you will drive best practices in identity hygiene, troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute to ongoing product development by providing critical feedback based on real-world client interactions.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to architect and implement solutions across diverse environments. Your day will involve analyzing security risks, developing technical design guides, and communicating complex findings to stakeholders at all levels. You will be a trusted advisor, gathering requirements, configuring the platform to meet specific needs, and training clients on effective use of SPHEREboard. Success in this role requires a blend of technical expertise and the ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of accuracy and consistency.
Hiring Process
Candidates selected for this role may be required to work outside of standard business hours (evenings/weekends) to meet client requirements or project deadlines. Additionally, the role may require onsite presence at client locations in the New York City/Northern New Jersey area as needed.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleArchitect, install, implement, and optimize SPHEREboard across diverse client environments
- check_circleAnalyze, assess, and mitigate IAM security risks through detailed review of accounts and permissions
- check_circleDevelop and maintain technical design guides, policy documentation, and process runbooks
- check_circleCollaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement risk remediation strategies
- check_circleUse advanced data analytics to monitor and report IAM cybersecurity risks to stakeholders
- check_circleComplete projects on time ensuring alignment with client engagements and Statements of Work
- check_circleParticipate in special projects involving Unstructured Data, Privileged Access, and Active Directory
- check_circleGather client requirements, configure the platform, and provide training on SPHEREboard usage
Requirements
- verified3+ years of cybersecurity experience with a focus on IAM, AD, SQL and data analytics
- verifiedStrong experience deploying and managing security solutions across multiple client environments
- verifiedHands on experience with IAM platforms and familiarity with industry-standard tools such as Varonis, StealthBits, Symantec, CyberArk, Centrify, BeyondTrust, SailPoint, OIM and others
- verifiedProficiency in data analysis and reporting, with advanced skills in MS Excel and MS SQL
- verifiedIn-depth understanding of infrastructure platforms like Active Directory, CIFS File Systems, Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and SQL
- verifiedAbility to work onsite at client locations in New York City/Northern New Jersey area
