The Nurse Manager II for the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) serves as a pivotal leader in Redwood City, CA, driving the implementation of best practice models and patient care delivery systems across multiple locations. This role exists to ensure optimal, safe patient care across the continuum while fostering a collaborative environment among physicians, healthcare providers, and the care team. The position is designed for a leader who can balance high-level strategic planning with hands-on clinical supervision, managing complex work streams in a 24/7 operational environment.
In this direct-hire capacity, you will translate business plans into tactical actions, overseeing the completion of work assignments and identifying opportunities for improvement. You will be responsible for managing designated units by ensuring all policies and procedures are followed, while also managing hospital administrative functions including budget, payroll, and human resources. The role demands a proactive approach to monitoring resource needs, maintaining equipment and supplies, and ensuring a safe environment for both patients and employees.
