The Hybrid Platform Engineer serves as a technical innovator bridging the gap between traditional on-premises infrastructure and modern cloud scalability. You will lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable cloud architectures, including AWS GovCloud and Azure, while managing the full lifecycle of enterprise hardware stacks like HPE Synergy and NetApp.
In this onsite role with very limited travel, you will modernize the platform's self-service consumption model using automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell. You will sustain next-generation container platforms such as VKS (Kubernetes), Docker, and Podman, ensuring all architectures align with DoD policies and service level agreements. This position offers the unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge platforms in support of the Missile Defense Space Center, requiring you to decompose difficult service problems and provide resolution while documenting standard processes clearly.
Candidates must meet DoD 8570 certification requirements (e.g., Sec+) within 60 days of hire and possess an active DoD Secret Security Clearance (or be eligible for Top-Secret with SCI).

Active DoD Secret Security Clearance or Top-Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility. Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field. One or more Cloud certifications (e.g., VMware Certified Professional – VCF Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert). Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or Federal cloud initiatives. Experience with model-based system engineering models and tools. Experience working in an agile environment. Experience administering a Red Hat Linux environment (RHEL 9.x). Experience writing and executing with automation tools. Experience with scripting languages (e.g., YAML, Python, Bash).
Skills: Vmware Cloud Foundation, Hpe Synergy, Netapp, Aws Govcloud, Azure, Terraform, Ansible, Powershell, Kubernetes, Docker.
Education: Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
