About the Role
This position is designed for a hybrid work environment, based out of various retail locations throughout Missouri with one day per week working from home to support centralized services. As a Pharmacist, you will be the bridge between clinical expertise and patient care, ensuring the proper compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications within strict regulatory guidelines.
In this role, you will provide pharmacy consulting services with empathy, helping patients understand effective medication usage and potential drug interactions through omni-channel services, including in-person consultations and phone support. Beyond dispensing, you will offer preventive and clinical healthcare services such as immunizations, diagnostic testing, and patient outcomes programs. You will also play a key part in optimizing pharmacy financials, inventory management, and enhancing the overall patient experience by supporting efficient workflows and assisting pharmacy management.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circlePerform compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and dispensing of prescribed medications
- check_circleConduct centralized support including patient registration, exception resolution, and virtual prescription reviews
- check_circleCollaborate with leadership to establish workflow procedures, assign roles, and oversee shift changes
- check_circleMaintain relationships with medical providers to clarify prescriptions, dosages, and suggest alternative medications
- check_circleProcess insurance claims and liaise with insurance companies, medical providers, and auditors
- check_circleDevelop and maintain relationships with the local medical community and participate in community outreach
- check_circleEnsure pharmacy staff adheres to regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures
- check_circleMaintain current knowledge of pharmacy systems technology including workflows, billing, and inventory management
Requirements
- verifiedBS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution
- verifiedCurrent Pharmacist license as granted by the appropriate state licensing authority
- verifiedExperience performing prescription dispensing activities
- verifiedCertified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire
- verifiedAt least 1 year of pharmacy experience
- verifiedExperience with pharmacy technology including Intercom, Promise, and Plus
Nice to Have
At least 1 year of pharmacy experience, including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems and insurance. Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates. Experience with pharmacy technology including Intercom, Promise, and Plus. Has completed specialized training regarding medication and disease state or has sufficient practical experience necessary to provide specialized services offered at clinic location (HIV, Organ Transplant, Oncology, etc.).
