About the Role

The HVAC Specialist is a critical technical role responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial HVAC equipment, including boilers, chillers, and light commercial units. This position requires a blend of theoretical knowledge regarding air conditioning and chilled water production, alongside practical mechanical and electrical expertise.

In this role, you will coordinate and perform inspections on heating units, building exhaust fans, and ventilation units to evaluate their condition and recommend preventive maintenance. You will manage the installation of HVAC systems and monitor repairs on components such as pumps, motors, air handlers, and piping. Working closely with the HVAC Lead and Trade Shop Supervisor, you will ensure projects and work orders are completed efficiently. Your responsibilities include diagnosing system failures to identify repair or replacement needs, tracking routine maintenance performance, and preparing detailed written reports to document activities. You will also manage inventory levels for equipment and supplies and respond to emergency situations to resolve immediate safety concerns.
