The Human Resources Manager serves as a key partner to leadership, collaborating on matters of performance, conflict, conduct, and discipline. This individual contributor role is designed to maintain positive employee relationships while ensuring strict compliance with company standards and applicable federal, state, and local laws.
In this position, you will facilitate the prompt and effective resolution of workplace conflicts, addressing issues for employees, managers, and leaders in a manner consistent with Astound's mission, policies, and overall business strategy. You will act as a primary point of contact for employee relations, providing support, coaching, and advice to managers regarding performance management, policy interpretation, and termination processes. The role requires conducting complex workplace investigations, preparing summary reports, and offering resolution recommendations to HR and Operations partners.
You will use reason and de-escalation skills to manage difficult or emotional situations, presenting facts and recommendations verbally and in writing. By advising business management on ER issues with independent judgment, you will help uphold company values, reduce risk, and improve the team member experience. Additionally, you will track employee data and trends to define process improvements, stay informed of legislative changes, and work with the leadership team to implement strategies that boost engagement and productivity.
