The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as the primary on-site HR leader and trusted advisor for the Good Hope and 87th Street manufacturing locations. Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources – North America, this role partners closely with plant leadership to align people strategies with business objectives, drive workforce effectiveness, and manage employee relations, performance, and compliance.
Operating with a high degree of independence and accountability, the HRBP balances hands-on operational execution with proactive business partnership. The position is responsible for shaping leader capability, addressing people risks, and ensuring policies and practices are applied consistently and in compliance with applicable laws. A key aspect of this role involves maintaining HellermannTyton's Quality and EHS certifications by supporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions, and required documentation.
As the main point of contact for employees and management at the manufacturing locations, you will manage complex employee relations issues, conducting thorough and objective investigations as needed. You will partner with supervisors and managers to recruit for manufacturing positions and manage relationships with temporary help agencies, including orientation for office and manufacturing assignments.
The role also encompasses operational security and logistics, such as managing the Brivo security access card system, issuing and canceling cards for employees and contractors, and monitoring security camera activity as requested. You will provide workforce metrics, insights, and trend analysis to operations and management accounting, while also managing, coaching, and mentoring the HR Specialist.
Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, particularly in gathering and analyzing information to develop alternate solutions for emotional or complex topics. The interview process will assess your ability to work well in group problem-solving situations, maintain confidentiality, and focus on solving conflict rather than blaming.
