Reporting directly to the Store-based Area HR Manager, the Human Resources Assistant Manager serves as a pivotal support role for HR functions across multiple locations. This position is designed to bridge the gap between strategic workforce planning and day-to-day operational execution, ensuring a seamless experience for employees and management alike.
The role focuses on providing comprehensive training and support to Store Managers, HR Associates, and Coordinators. From managing payroll and timecard enforcement to maintaining personnel files, the Assistant Manager ensures compliance and efficiency across the store network. You will act as a key liaison for employee relations, handling inquiries regarding leaves of absence, paid time off, and workers' compensation while assisting with interviews, investigations, and disciplinary actions.
A significant portion of the role involves fostering a robust talent pipeline. You will collaborate with external sources, including learning institutions and government agencies, to generate applicant flow. By utilizing recruiting tools and conducting on-site events and job fairs, you will help secure top talent for the organization. Additionally, you will partner with the Store Manager to manage monthly personnel costs and support the broader HR group in resolving company-wide issues.
