This position serves as a strategic partner to market leaders, dedicated to fostering a genuine safety culture and driving a positive employee experience. The role exists to bridge the gap between business objectives and human capital strategy, ensuring that HR practices not only comply with regulations but actively contribute to market success.
You will act as a present, active thought partner, identifying gaps in the associate experience and leading action planning to improve engagement, retention, and employee productivity. From supporting labor negotiations to managing complex employee relations investigations, you will be instrumental in shaping a work environment where associates feel valued and leaders are equipped to execute effectively.
Your day involves a dynamic mix of strategic advisory and hands-on execution. You will collaborate with front-line leaders and directors across Finance, Supply Chain, and Sales to align HR initiatives with business goals. This includes advising on policy interpretation, facilitating training, and executing communication campaigns that drive cultural change.
A significant portion of your time will be spent interacting with associates across multiple locations, including distribution centers and driver domicile yards, to understand on-the-ground realities. You will lead investigations, manage leave administration in compliance with ADA and Workers Compensation guidelines, and coach managers on performance management and disciplinary actions. Additionally, you will support recruitment, onboarding, and talent planning processes to ensure the market is staffed with the right talent.
Candidates selected for this role will be invited to participate in a series of interviews designed to assess both technical HR expertise and cultural fit. The process typically includes a screening conversation with the hiring manager, followed by deeper discussions with key stakeholders to evaluate strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
