This position serves as a strategic partner to market leaders, dedicated to fostering a genuine safety culture and driving a positive employee experience. The role exists to ensure that HR practices align with business objectives, ultimately driving market success through engagement, retention, and operational excellence. You will act as a present, active thought partner, identifying gaps in the associate experience and collaborating on action planning to support labor negotiations and strategic change initiatives.
Your work will span a dynamic environment, balancing office-based responsibilities with significant interaction across multiple locations, including distribution centers, driver domicile yards, and occasional customer visits. You will lead investigations in partnership with Compliance and Legal, summarize findings, and provide recommendations for employee relations matters. A key part of your day involves coaching area leaders on performance management, talent assessment, and disciplinary actions, while also managing leave administration and the interactive process for ADA and Workers' Compensation compliance.
You will execute communication campaigns to drive employee adoption of strategic priorities and advise supervisors on consistent policy interpretation. By utilizing data and insights, you will identify opportunities to improve the associate experience and support recruitment, staffing, and retention strategies. Maintaining accurate documentation for personnel activities, from grievances to Affirmative Action Plans, ensures compliance with US Foods procedures and evolving employment laws.
