This position serves as a strategic partner to market leaders, dedicated to fostering a genuine safety culture and driving a positive employee experience across US Foods. The role exists to ensure that HR practices align seamlessly with business objectives, creating an environment where engagement, retention, and operational success thrive.
As a thought partner and active participant, you will identify gaps in the associate experience, prioritize action planning, and support the organization through labor negotiations. You will advocate for high engagement by utilizing data and insights to recommend improvements, ensuring consistent execution of LEAD Plays. The role requires a present, proactive leader who challenges management to set the right tone for safety and holds them accountable for driving proactive engagement efforts.
Your day involves collaborating with and influencing market leaders to ensure HR practices drive market success. You will advise supervisors and managers on the consistent application of company policies, facilitating training for orientation and leader development. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to leading employee relations investigations in partnership with Compliance, Legal, and functional leaders, effectively summarizing findings and providing recommendations.
You will also support recruitment efforts, manage onboarding, and coach on performance management actions for hourly levels. The role requires maintaining documentation for personnel activities, including staffing, grievances, and Affirmative Action Plans. You will lead leave administration practices, guiding the interactive process in compliance with ADA regulations and supporting the Workers Compensation Program. Additionally, you will execute communication and change campaigns for strategic HR priorities, helping leaders create the necessary beliefs and experiences for associates to drive cultural change.
This is an onsite role based in a US Foods office environment. However, the position requires significant interaction with associates across multiple locations, including distribution centers and driver domicile yards. Occasional customer visits with territory managers are also part of the scope. The role involves travel of approximately 10-15% and requires a valid driver's license with a good motor vehicle record.
Candidates selected for this role will be considered for an annual incentive plan bonus up to 10% of base salary.
