At Quadel, employees are more than their job titles; we are a team that believes in collaboration, continuous learning, and professional development. We offer a supportive workplace where individuals can grow their careers while contributing to important programs that strengthen communities.
The Housing Specialist III is a pivotal role dedicated to managing the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program with efficiency and accuracy. This position serves as the bridge between HUD regulations and the families we serve, ensuring that every transaction—from eligibility determinations to lease-ups and re-certifications—is handled with fairness and respect.
In this role, you will navigate the complexities of the HCV program, applying strict adherence to U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regulations, the Administrative Plan, and established procedures. You will act as a trusted advisor to participants, owners, and the public, communicating clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing. Success in this position requires balancing multiple deadlines while maintaining the highest ethical standards and confidentiality regarding sensitive participant data.
Your work will involve a dynamic mix of analytical and interpersonal tasks. You will process applications, verify income and family composition, and conduct briefings to guide participants through the program. You will manage the full lifecycle of housing assistance, including portability, rent reasonableness determinations, and the resolution of informal reviews or hearings. As the program evolves, you will continuously build your knowledge of HUD guidance and PIH notices, ensuring that our agency remains compliant and effective.
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of pre-employment requirements, which may include background screening, a pre-employment drug test, and verification of credentials. We are committed to a fair and accessible hiring process.
