About the Role
This position serves as a vital link in the operations of Mesquite Gaming properties, overseeing guest room attendants and house persons to ensure a seamless guest experience. The role is designed to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and safety across all hotel rooms, ensuring they are ready for occupancy at all times.
In this labor-intensive position, you will assist the Housekeeping Manager with day-to-day operations, acting as a frontline guardian for the safety and wellbeing of both hotel guests and employees. You will be responsible for enforcing company policies, department procedures, and OSHA regulations while maintaining a pleasant attitude when interacting with guests and staff.
Day in the Life
Your day involves regularly scheduled written inspections to ensure all work is completed according to established standards. You will oversee the maintenance of department equipment and manage the daily turnover of lost and found items and keys. A key part of your responsibilities includes reporting maintenance issues to keep the condition of rooms and buildings in top shape.
Beyond supervision, you will actively motivate, encourage, and train team members as needed. You will also serve as a customer service ambassador, providing accurate directions, guiding guests, and sharing information about property amenities to encourage guests to have fun and return.
Work Environment
This role takes place in a dynamic environment involving everyday risks and discomforts typical of smoke-filled and pet-accommodated settings. Work is conducted both indoors and outdoors, regardless of weather conditions, including extreme heat in the summer. The position requires extensive and repetitious physical exertion, including bending, kneeling, lifting, pulling, and pushing moderately heavy objects. A good sense of smell, sight, and hearing is essential for performing these duties safely and effectively.
